Overweight is one of the major problems facing our new generation. It is also the concern of the health expert on how to maintain the health condition. There are even people who want to go starving just to reduce their weight, not realizing that instead of losing weight it increases more instead.
 
There are a lot of diets claim that lose weight is very effective on their diet lose program. Some are having this low calorie diets to reduce weight. However it seems that low calorie diets can lose weight quickly, but your weight can regain back rapidly.
 
This weight loss can work if you need to burn more calories intake. The problem I think is not the food that made us overweight but the metabolism.
 
As we know that metabolism is the rate at which our body burns calorie. You know metabolism slow down as we grow old.  An overweight has a slower metabolism.
 
Age at 40, metabolism decrease at around 5%, but it is not only age that slows down but gender too. Men burn more calories than women because men have more muscles tissues in the body.
 
The next factor is the heredity. If one of the members of the family has faster metabolism, it is possibly that you have faster metabolism too.
 
It is advisable to eat more calories daily, and ideal for women is to consume 1200-1800 calories while boys should have 2000 calories. If this ideal number of calories achieved then your metabolism become faster.
 
You must eat also your meal regularly. If you don’t eat regularly then your metabolism rate slows down to compensate the time you have not eaten.
 
Some are thinking that drinking water is good. And you should know the fact that hot water slows down metabolism. It is advisable if you want to stay slim, don’t drink hot water. But instead drink cold water.
